In the late 80's-early 90's, a small group of alpaca owners and breeder's met together to discuss the future of their herds. Together they spoke of concerns and shared their knowledge and created an organization that today is over 4,000 members strong. The purpose of AOBA is to educate the public as well as fellow breeders about the history,


ARI

Today, ARI is a valuable resource for North American and international breeders alike. Up-to-date owner and member lists are maintained as well as a growing database for blood typed alpacas. The purpose of ARI is to expand and maintain accurate genealogical records to follow animals from birth, sales, and their offspring.
