ARI
Today, ARI is a valuable resource for North American and international breeders alike. Up-to-date owner and member lists are maintained as well as a growing database for blood typed alpacas. The purpose of ARI is to expand and maintain accurate genealogical records to follow animals from birth, sales, and their offspring.
AOBA
In the late 80's-early 90's, a small group of alpaca owners and breeder's met together to discuss the future of their herds. Together they spoke of concerns and shared their knowledge and created an organization that today is over 4,000 members strong. The Purpose of AOBA is to educate the public as well as fellow breeders about the history, benefits, and other knowledge of the animals themselves as well as the final end result of their fiber.
The Suri Network
The purpose of the Suri Network promotes awareness of and interest in suri alpacas and their fiber as well as the growth of the suri alpaca within the alpaca industry. In order to protect the economic and legal interests of the SN's members this group serves as an industry and marketing group. Through meetings and events the SN provides its members to opportunity to share with each other and the public support, knowledge, and friendship.
Pennsylvania Alpaca Owners & Breeders Association PAOBA is an association of alpaca breeders in Pennsylvania which was formed to help Pennsylvania breeders promote alpacas and through educational and marketing opportunities, support the alpaca industry.
